New Feature: Quick Image Resizer for Customer Sites!

For any layouts that have a clickable Image box (see below), we’ve added a new feature so you can quickly resize the image. In the past, these images had to be resized before uploading.

Below the image box, there are 4 default sizes you can select from a drop down menu:

Original Size – image shows as is

Small Size – 160 pixel width

Medium Size – 320 pixel width

Large Size – 480 pixel width

The height always adjusts so the image is still in proportion. Note that if you select a size that is bigger than the original size, the image quality won’t be as good.

Like before, you can alternatively click the image insert button on the Easy Editor if you would like to have more flexibility for the location and dimensions of your image.

New Customer Feature: 15 New Web Page Layouts with Columns

Have you ever wished you could have a 3 or even a 4 column layout? Or, maybe put a Google ad on the right side of your page?

We’re happy to announce 15 brand new layouts that give you loads of flexibility in how your customers can format pages without having to insert a table.

To access these new layouts, add a new page or edit an old “Web Page” layout page. Then, click on “Change Layout” on the left side.

You will then see a total of 26 layout options. The new ones are circled below.

For the new layouts, you can select how wide each column is by dragging a slider that appears at the top. Simply drag the squares to change the percentage distribution of your columns. The total always adds up to 100%. The minimum column width is 5%.

Below that, you can select how much column padding — i.e. spacing between columns — you would like. The range is from 1 to 30 pixels.

When inputting your content, a snapshot to the left of each text box will show you which area of the page you’re editing.

Common Questions Answered:

Q:  Will I lose my content if I change from a layout with 4 sections down to 3 sections?

No, but the information in the 4th section won’t show.  However, if you change to a layout with at least 4 sections again, all your content will reappear. This is what happens anytime you change to a layout with less sections than before.

Q:  How come my image/video/table is overlapping onto another column?

If you insert an image, video or table that’s wider than the column width percent you chose, it will appear behind the content of the next column over. The only exception is if the image is at the edge of your template design, it will just be cut off.  You can adjust your image, video or table width to fix the problem.

New Customer Welcome Emails!

We now have a new email being sent out to all new customers after they signup for a trial.  Once one of your customers signs up for a new trial, an email will be sent out right away welcoming them aboard.

Here is the default email that will be sent out to new customers (BusinessWebsiteBuilder.com) is the host example.

New Feature: Add Product Options that Affect Price

We’re excited to announce that now your customers can now create dropdown menu options to offer variations like size which change the price of a product.

Customer Instructions:

If you haven’t set up any products yet, follow the step by step instructions in the Add Products article. The options setup is in the ‘Product Variants’ section.

If you already have your products listed, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your catalog page and click on the product you would like to add options to, then click ‘Edit Page.’
  2. Scroll down to ‘Product Variants’ and checkmark the box. Below that some options will appear.
  3. Enter a ‘Variant Title’ like Size or Color. Click ‘Add Variant.’
  4. Fill in the product information. Note that ‘# in Stock’ only appears if you have checkmarked ‘enable inventory management for this product.’ Then, click ‘Add Variant.’
  5. Your option appears in the list and you can now add more variants if you like. If you would like to save time by copying the information in one of your variants, click the ‘Copy’ link to the right of any variant.
  6. Save your page.

New Trial Notification Email Coming Very Soon

Very soon, you will be getting email notifications alerting you when a new trial has signed up on your reseller site.  Instead of wondering and logging in to see what new trials have signed up, you’ll get a real-time email alerting you of the good news!

When we roll this new feature out, by default it will be turned on for all resellers.  If you wish to have the notifications turned off, please let your reseller relations manager know.

There are a ton of good reasons for this new email alert.

We feel the most important reason is that now that you will be aware of these brand new trials, you can can reach out to them to welcome them aboard.  If you can hit these users real-time and get them excited, the conversion rates will skyrocket!

New Trial Signup Notification Email

We’re building a handy new feature that will be rolled out in the New Year for Resellers!

When new users signup for a trial on your site, you now get an email notification sent to your email address on file.

If you are notified of a new trial signing up, you can quickly give them a welcome sale call or send out an email. While we do send welcome emails, this is the golden time for you to reach out and welcome them aboard. Some of our most successful resellers take the time to learn the builder enough to call the customers and walk them through it.

We have also found that a welcome call can increase the conversion rate to sale by over 150%!

Big Changes to the Template Library – New Templates Coming Soon

Please note that on December 12th we will be updating our design template library by removing some of our older and outdated templates. This means that after December 12th you and your customers will no longer have access to these templates we are removing.  There will be a few hundred templates removed from the system.

If your customers are using one of our pre-designed templates now, don’t worry, they can still continue to use the template even if that template is removed from the template library.  Their template design will be grandfathered in so that their current site design is not affected.

The good news is that this is all part of a plan already in progress to create a brand new template management system, along with hundreds of new and updated templates!  We have to get the older outdated templates removed in order to make room for the new tools and templates.

Very soon you will start to see new templates being added to the template library.  In fact, we have already added 100 new templates that were built on the existing template system.

As mentioned, we are also developing a brand new template management system.  This will make it much easier for you and your customers to manage, update and edit the templates. It will also open the doors for us to create hundreds, if not thousands of new templates in the future.

This will be a three stage process:

1) We will be removing the older templates to make room for the new and improved ones.  This is also in order to allow the new templates system to be implemented without the old templates getting in the way.

2) We will be adding in a few hundred new templates right away to ensure there is still a library of templates to choose from.  You will see a couple hundred new templates by January 31st.

3) We will be rolling out the new template management system that will also include hundreds of new templates using this new system.  This will open the doors for us to create a massive template library.  We are hoping to roll this out in the spring.

We are very excited about this new system.  As a reseller you will be able to attract more customers, build better sites and earn even more revenue.

Awesome Template Design Improvements: New Fonts, Faster Load Times and More

We’re super excited to announce some improvements to the template builder that will mean more design flexibility and faster load times for your customers. Here’s what we did:

40 new fonts for header designs

We’ve added 40 Google fonts to bring the total to 55 fonts customers can use on their headers. Anytime they change their text, they’ll notice it happens live right on the preview image so they’ll see if it works with their design.
